The Healthcare Financing Division provides the healthcare programs which are Wyoming’s public healthcare programs. it helps all eligible citizens of the U.S. for better healthcare. These divisions include the Wyoming Medicaid, Kid Care CHIP, and drug donation programs.

Children Programs

To make a healthy future for our state, the Wyoming Department of Health launched several programs to help Wyoming’s youngest residents.

The Wyoming Medicaid Children’s Program provides health coverage to all eligible children from birth to 18 years of age.

Wyoming’s public healthcare programs include:

Child MAGI,
Foster care children in DFS custody,
Former foster youth up to the age of 26 who were in the DFS custody when they turned 18 and were on the federally funded Medicaid program,
Children receiving an adoption subsidy,
Newborns born to Medicaid-qualified mothers are automatically eligible for the first year.

Eligibility Requirements:

You can qualify for one or more of the assistance programs available under the Medicaid or Kid Care CHIP Program.

Must be a Wyoming resident
Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident lived in the US for at least 5 years.
Children must be at least 0–18 years old.
Income eligible for child MAGI
Children ages birth to 5 whose family income is at or below 154% of the federal poverty guidelines.
Children aged 6 to 18 years, whose family income is at or below 133% of the FPL.

Kid Care CHIP

Kid Care CHIP offers affordable health coverage for all children of working parents in Wyoming in the U.S. Programs intend to provide free preventive dental and health care. Some of the health services are available for a small co-payment.

The Kid Care CHIP program is generally available to children of parents whose income lies below 200% of the federal poverty level, and are not eligible for Medicaid.
