About Texas Food and Wine Alliance Grants
What are the TFWA grants: Beginning its tenth year of supporting culinary innovation and community retreats through its one-of-a-kind grant program, the Texas Food and Wine Alliance is awarding grants to selected organizations/ individuals who demonstrate culinary innovation and contribute to the Texas community.

Who is Eligible for Grants?
All applicants have to meet the eligibility criteria to apply for the TFWA Grant Application or Culinary Grant Program.
Eligible applicants:
- Food and beverage artisan producers, chefs and culinary professionals, farmers, wine-, beer-, and spirit-makers, culinary businesses, and food-focused nonprofits serving the Austin, Dallas, Houston, or San Antonio communities
- They must be located in the Austin, Dallas, Houston, or San Antonio areas.
- It should demonstrate how to use the grant for culinary innovation.
- must demonstrate community return and/or show the initiative’s impact on the community.
- must represent fiduciary responsibility and transparency.
- Reporting and accountability guidelines have to be followed.
- TFWA and the grantee agree to participate in PR and social media initiatives to promote the program.
- agree to the presence of the AFWA website and mutual publicity of TFWA and the grant program.
- You or your organization must provide three current written reference letters detailing why you should receive the AFWA grant and the relationship of reference with you.
- If you have previously applied for a grant and have not been funded, you can apply again.
- If you have applied before and have been funded, you can also apply for a new project that is not related to the original project that was funded.
- If you are applying for a grant to support your operating budget, the applicant must show that the business is already running, and supporting documents must show that the business is running smoothly.
What are the Application Requirements?
You must resident of Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio.
- Your Personal information such as Business/organization name, Contact name, Position or title, Contact phone, Email, Mailing address, and Physical Address.
- Your Grant Request Information such as Date of request, Annual operating budget, Fiscal year, Tax ID number, etc.
- Business Supplemental Documents and Questions
- Nonprofit Supplemental Documents and Questions
- In addition to all the supplemental information required, all grant applicants must submit three (3) current reference letters for 2021, including details of their relationship with the business or nonprofit and explaining why the applicant should get the grant.
How to Apply for TFWA Grant Application?
To apply for the TFWA Grant Application in 2024, you should check your eligibility criteria, and then follow the steps to fill out the form.
Step 1: First of all, Go to the official website of the Texas Food and Wine Alliance.
Step 2: In the menu, Click on Grants>>Culinary Grant Program.
Step 3: Click on the “Apply Now” button.
Step 4: Enter all the Applicant’s Contact Information, Grant Request Information, Business Supplemental Questions, Nonprofit Supplemental Questions and Documents,
Step 5: After that, All applicants have to upload three reference letters of 2022.
Step 6: Check the box to confirm your information and enter your email address.
Step 7: Once you fill out the form, please click on the “Submit” button.
