Specialty Crop Grant Program
In 2023, the WDA is projected to obtain up to $338,000 in funding from the USDA Specialty Crop Block Grant Program, subject to funding availability. This grant program helps to increase the competitiveness of specialty crops in Wyoming by increasing the production and consumption of fruits, vegetables, tree nuts, horticulture, floriculture, etc.
Competitive grant awards up to a maximum of $24,500 will be considered for specialty crop projects lasting one to two years.
In addition, the Wyoming Department of Agriculture (WDA) will consider projects of up to $100,000 lasting two to three years that can justify the need for large impacts and additional funding.
The application deadline for the Wyoming Specialty Crop Grant Program is March 31, 2023, at 5:00 PM, applications received after that will not be regarded.

Funding details
2023 Wyoming Specialty Crop Grant amounts requested are limited to a minimum of $5,000 and a maximum of $24,500 for one- to two-year proposals and $100,000 for two- to three-year proposals.
