Teacher Assistance Grant Program (TAP)

Teacher Assistance Program grants are selected by a community committee for creative, innovative, and complementary programs which is not covered by school funding. the grants of up to $1,500 each are awarded to encourage K-12 teachers in public or private Richland County schools to develop new programs for their classrooms.

Grant dollars are used to direct programming; The TAP Grant budget range is from $250 to $1,500. However, the following items will not be taken into account for funding:

• Storage containers and rugs
• Shipping and handling charges
• Transportation
• Substitute teachers’ costs
• Seating options
• Physical Technology Items (cameras, printers, tablets, etc.)
