Texas Capital Foundation Honors Awards

The Texas Capital Foundation Honors Awards is an annual, competitive grant application process provide the total four grants such as the Live, Learn and Lift grants will be $50,000 each, and the STAR grant will be $100,000.

The TCF Foundation aims to meet communities’ greatest needs by funding small to mid-sized organizations that create and implement innovative, sustainable solutions.

This foundation takes a place-based approach to grantmaking, focusing on the nearest nonprofit organizations working in under-resourced areas within our location.

There are Four Honors Awards availbe such as Live, Learn, Lift grants and STAR Grant.

  • LIVE – Mental health and chronic disease prevention programs for children.
  • LEARN STEAM – education programs for teens.
  • LIFT – Prevention and mentorship programs for youth.
  • STAR – Support for military and veteran families.

Eligibility Criteria for Texas Capital Foundation Honors Awards

  • The organization must be tax-free under section 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code, meaning it must be currently tax-exempt.
  • The organization must provide the direct services to low- and moderate-income communities/ Organization within Texas Capital’s service areas of Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, Houston and San Antonio.
  • The organization must provide financial statements, board member lists and organization charts with the application.
  • Nonprofit organizations must be active in IRS Publication 78.
  • The Texas Capital Honors Awards recognize existing programs doing outstanding work in their community with at least a three-year performance record.
  • All grantees are required to provide an impact statement at the conclusion of the grant year.

Not Eligible for Texas Capital Foundation Honors Awards

  • Advocacy for political causes or controversial issues
  • Individuals
  • For-profit companies
  • Municipalities
  • Membership-based and fraternal organizations
  • Ticketed events, including but not limited to luncheons, golf tournaments, galas, etc.
  • Organizations that do not primarily serve the needs of low- to moderate-income communities.

How to Apply for Texas Capital Foundation Honors Awards

  • Visit the official website of TCBF.
  • Select the Texas Capital Foundation option.
  • Select the The 2025 award categories like Live, Learn, Lift and Star.
  • Click to Read the Grant Guidelines.
  • Click on Apply Now , then Proceed button.
  • If you are first time user, Create your account.
  • Enter your Account details such as email address and password.
  • Once you Login/Sign in your account.
  • Fill out the TCF Honors Award Application Form.
  • Click on Submit button.

TCF Honors Award Timeline

TCF applications will be accepted through an open call on November 1, 2024. and will close on January 3, 2025. Grant awards will be announced on May 5, 2025.
