  • Applicants need to demonstrate the expertise in working with children and environmental issues; and they are welcome to collaborate with other organizations that have complementary expertise and submit a single application.
  • Funds must be spent to serve children who live and/or attend school in Yolo County.
    • In addition to children, parents of children under the age of 18 may also be targets of the program, meaning they may be eligible.
  • This grant program may focus on indoor or outdoor air quality.
  • The main focus of the program needs to be on air quality, and it can also address other environmental issues, recognizing that air quality is part of a larger ecosystem.
  • The changes in behavior as a result of the program may be short-term or long-term.
    • For example, in the short term, an increase in the number of children riding to school by bike this year) or
